I want to post a question and I keep receiving this error message- "You are not allowed to create or update this content". Can somebody tell me what the problem is?

The problem is this Forum is riddled with glitches since the format changeover, you ran into one of many. Try again.

You get automatically logged out after 30 minutes. The forum software doesn"t always tell you this. It waits until you do something that requires you to be logged in then give you a cryptic error message.

There are several bugs in this area the will cause additional confusion.

-- slow login

Try another tab & login again

-- on a thread page, doesn"t notice you are logged in when you are.

clear caches and reload page

You were able to post here. Try tapping new at the top of this page then couchsurfingcook.com to start a discussion.

With a list there are two ways of creating a discussion:

-- click on new. You get a two item list. It"s to the upper right of screen.

-- to the left under actions. Start a couchsurfingcook.com. Try both.

I think you need to be logged on first then clear the cache then reload the page.

I also could only type to a certain point on my iPad then the dialogue box refused to accept.......almost like resistance is futile.

Have a good one......

Try tapping the tiny keyboard to dismiss the keyboard. Then tap the screen to bring it back up. See if you can type.

I didnt mention that I"m using a CLamCase keyboard (sorry) The trick with the tiny keyboard thing seems to work now

Hasnt hung up yet........thx

I asked the hosts to relocate your question to the iPhone Forum and start a new discussion. They should be better able to help you there.

You have managed to REPLY here, so that is half the battle.

Try your New Question again - if it is LONG, create it in an external editor like TextEdit and copy/paste it into the question BODY to avoid being logged out due to the login TimeOutLength of ±30 minutes.

If it still fails, quit the browser & restart your Mac or iDevice then try again. Take FULL Display screenshot of the screen just BEFORE you experience the issue AND of the resulting Error - 2 screenshots - then post them here
